Thornton Reed from Channel 4 comedy, Garth Merenghi's Darkplace. Drawn using Copic Multiliner, Pentel Pocketbrush and grey Letraset Promarkers. Drawn in one hour, which is several hours less than I'd normally spend on an A4 sketch. The restricted time scale seemed to help me!

Aww I love it, from the funeral scene :) I always wanted to use markers for sketches but I'm still slightly scared about the fact you can't just erase them when you make an error. great work.. and you finished it in one hour? amazing work! :XD:

Thank you and yes it's from the funeral scene, one of my all time favourite comedy scenes. Markers can be scary, but it's all about confidence. I'm more nervous when penciling, just because its not my strong point. However, colouring I do feel confident, so I can happily throw down bold swipes of a marker and be sure that I probably won't mess it up too bad.

haha it's a great episode, the deliberate continuity errors are hilarious. well I've used drawing inks a couple of times but for some reason the markers scare me more :s can't figure that one out myself if I'm honest. Maybe one day I'll use them and be happy with the outcome, until then I'm sticking with graphite :)

This is one of my favourite pieces of yours, you totally killed it on this! Those greys work so well.

Thanks mate. I just got an urge for this one night and did it all within an hour/hour & half. Black and grey is always fun, plus I took a slightly different style on this one. I'd like to see some black and grey from you.

"She was like a candle in the wind... unreliable."

Really great piece man.
Saw it on Twitter & Tumblr but thought I'd comment over here for a change.
Your marker style is getting so good. Economy of line is something I always fail on.

Good stuff.

Thanks buddy, means a lot from an artist I respect greatly. I seem to be improving with each piece, admittedly at slower rate than I'd like, but any improvement has to be good.

haha I would have been astonished if you knew who it was - he's a character from an obscure early '00's British comedy, not many people here would know whohe is! Cheers for the compliment dude!
